Southcross Custom Fabrication offers in-house machining capabilities for a variety of materials and industries. We have the equipment and expertise necessary for CNC machining, reverse engineering, design assistance, and project management services, as well as OEM products, components, and sub-assemblies.

Our highly trained personnel are available to help you with any problem you might encounter. We employ experts in a number of disciplines, including: solution designers, project managers, field technicians, manufacturing engineers, design engineers, purchasing agents, and machinists.

Southcross Custom Fabrication state-of-the-art equipment can perform any machining process required for your project, including milling, drilling, boring, turning and threading. We also offer knurling, counterboring, and reaming.

Equipment Capabilities

The size and shape of the sheets that we can work with depend on the equipment:

  • CNC Lathe handles tube or bar stock up to 1.5” in diameter
  • CNC Machining Center processes parts up to 60”x30”x25” and up to 300 lbs.;
  • Our CNC Saw has a 20 ½” by 12 ½” cutting window.

All of our CNC machines support translation in 3 and 4 axes, and we offer three-jaw chuck and in-house fixturing and tooling. Our CNC machines can meet tolerances within ± 0.001 in.

Our CNC machines can work with a variety of metal and plastic materials, including alloy steels, aluminum, copper, and iron, as well as acrylic, nylon, polyamide-imide and delrin.

Most projects can be completed in 2-3 days, but the exact lead time depends on the scope of the project. We quote lead-times on a job-by-job basis. We also offer emergency or rush services to drastically shorten lead-times if necessary.

Southcross Custom Fabrication’s operations comply with ASTM, ANSI, NFPA, and UL industry standards. We also ensure optimal efficiency by applying the principles of Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Lights Out Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, and Kanban.
