Southcross Custom Fabrication has unique beginnings in the metal fabrication industry.
Our story starts in 1897 with Southern Steel Company — a San Antonio, Texas fabricator specializing in jails, vaults, bridges and sliding door locking systems. After decades of growth and acquisition, Southern Steel’s parent company acquired Folger Adam Security, Inc. in 2004 and became Southern Folger, an industry leader in product design and custom manufacturing solutions.
Over 100 years later, Southern Folger extended its manufacturing knowledge through the formation of Southcross Custom Fabrication — a new division dedicated to providing metal fabrication and process development in extended industry settings.
Southcross Custom Fabrication promises decades of manufacturing experience and commitment to quality and customer service. Our cut-to-finish capabilities offer cost savings, more efficient production and industry-leading turnaround times. No job is too small or large for Southcross’s wide range of capabilities, which include CNC machining, forming, laser cutting, welding and coating services.
Southcross is ITAR-registered and meets several industry standards, including ASTM, ANSI, NFPA and UL. Our 100,000-square-foot facility in San Antonio can handle projects from anywhere, for any industry. Southcross’s manufacturing space, combined with over a century of industry knowledge, is what helps us deliver substantially shorter lead times for our customers.
